As of November 2021 we are still (only) running a Freelander 1 – the Y reg (2001) TD4 ES model, which (as a family) we have had from new. The Discovery Sport we got in 2018 has been sold on, so we are, for the first time in 8 years, back to being a single Land Rover family.
The Freelander was off the road for almost 4 years, awaiting a head gasket renewal (I know its a diesel, but it has done almost 200,000 miles). I am scouring parts catalogs to get the bits needed to bring new life to the old car, and I hope that the head gasket repairs last for another 200,000 miles!
