Another device in our arsenal that gets used at least monthly, if not more. The is the second iteration, as my first one blew up whilst pumping the front tyre on an old Jaguar XJ6 well over a decade ago. The one we have now was another researched internet purchase, and one that proved to be very much worthwhile.
It comes in a handy nylon case, and has 2 main appendages – the Tyre Inflation tube, and a very long 12 volt cable with a cigarette lighter plug n the end. Hidden on rear of the unit are a couple of adapters so you could also use this to pump up bicycle tyres or footballs/rugby balls etc. There is also a large torch on the side that can act as a regular light source or as a flashing beacon. Useful if you have to use this at night on the side of a road. Under the LCD display are three buttons – Plus, Minus and memory. This is to set the PSI pressure. Once set, simply attach to the valve on the tyre and press the big On/Off button. Once the pressure you set has been reached, the unit shuts off. Just under the On/Off button is a 4 Position dial to control the torch.
Just like our 12 v Jump Starter, we never leave home without this.
